text quality in an eps

Postby youtwistedmymelonman » Mon Nov 03, 2008 5:56 pm

When I insert text into a new document and save it as eps (just a blank document with text), the quality of the text in the eps is quite poor. It doesn't happen if I save the file in pdf, though. Does anybody have the same problem? Is this a known or "normal" issue? I'm using inkscape 0.46 in Linux.

Greetings.

Most likely it is the problem of your EPS viewer, perhaps unable to do antialiasing, or unable to find fonts. 0.46 does not do rasterization in EPS so it is all vector. Convert it to PDF (ps2pdf from Ghostscript) and you will see that the text is OK in PDF viewer.
