I tried to have a circular array. It worked as desired once I made a circle as object to path duplicate it and used extensions > generate from path >scatter. Sadly, there seems to be an irregularity as seen in the highlighted area of the image below. Two objects are too close unlike the entire ring. Is there something I can do to fix it ? Thanks.

Adjust the distance - it seems the circle path length isn't divisible by the dot distance.
Or choose to stretch the distances to adjust to path length (second check box in the dialog).

Or use the polar arrangement option of the Arrange dialog.
Or use tiled clones to create a radial array of clones.

" Stretch " method works. I will have to try Arrange and Clone now.
