I'd like to have Inkscape remember the settings on the snap toolbar. I always want to have 12 out of 19 snap buttons enabled but Inkscape only remembers to have a few of them enabled, the rest I have to enable manually when opening a new document. The settings do however seem to be saved/remembered when I save a document, but that only applies to that particular document. I want the settings to be saved/remembered globally. Is this possible?
EDIT: I just noticed that 0.48 remembers the snap settings globally but 0.91 does not...?
How to make Inkscape remember snap settings?
Re: How to make Inkscape remember snap settings?
You can create a custom document template. Snap settings are saved on a per-document basis.
Just create a blank file, check the desired snap settings, and save it into the directory 'templates' in your Inkscape user configuration directory indicated at Edit > Preferences > System: User config.
The file name you need to use would either be 'default.svg' , or, if you're using a different language setting, default.xx.svg, where xx is the two-letter language code for your language (e.g. de for German).

Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!
