Hi,
I originally drew a curved stroke with two nodes and applied the cap ends feature to the stroke. The other alternative was to convert a shape to a path, break the path and delete some of the nodes. This also produces a nice clean rounded shape, but it isn't a closed shape. I would like to reproduce the same effect but as a complete shape.
This is important as Clipart users may want to fill the shape or change the stroke size or colour.
Does anyone have any suggestions or tutorials to get around this?

if you do object>storke to path on the 2 node line it will generate a shape that is the outline. Should be what your after I think.

Thank you soooo much, it is exactly what I wanted. You made it sound so easy, in your post I was in hysterics.
