Pin up WIP

Postby lmt337 » Thu Apr 12, 2012 12:21 am

Hi all,

I thought I'd share my latest WIP for anyone interested. I got asked to do a pin up for someone who changed their mind but I've decided to finish it anyway.

I still have lots to do on it. The colours are there just to help with editing and will be different in the finished piece.

Interesting! I was holding my breath as I clicked, hoping not to see "adult content". So I'm glad it's rather tame, lol.

For some reason, the figure has a strong masculine feel to me. I don't know if that might be intended? I think it's the size of the hand that seems a little large for a woman. Other than that, I can't really put my finger on what it is. Maybe the mouth is a little too big? Maybe a thinner waistline too? The figure's right elbow (on our left) seems....I'm not sure how to describe it....something just seems off. I guess it seems a little too long (the elbow, not the arm). I like the dress of the one on the left better, but I like the hair of the one on the right. Also the collar bones on the right are nice. You're not going to draw legs and feet?

I know what you mean about the masculinity, I'm hoping to give her a more feminine appearance. I tend to get all my objects done first then tweak everything until I'm happy.

I know the anatomy is all over the place at the moment and will be fixed. I have done the legs, I'll post a pic when I've sorted her feet out!

Thanks for the feedback.

I think the waist should be a little lower. The face on the whole need not be so long. You can reduce the length of the face to make her a little more pretty. The other things can be left much the same and I think you will have people falling for her!!! :D

Thanks for the input. I've already made a few changes to her face which is a bit long. I'll also have a go at moving the waist to see what it looks like.
