I actually have no idea whether FB accepts SVG images. It may be that it's just your browser that doesn't display SVG. Anyway, in Inkscape, use File menu > Export Bitmap. This will save a PNG version of the image. If PNG isn't acceptable, you'll have to go to a raster graphics program to convert the PNG to JPG.

What Brynn said - with the addition that Facebook definitely does accept PNG files: you can check out the Facebook link in my signature for proof
