Hi there,

I am finding that the functionality to Create and Duplicate layers periodically stops working. Like I will right click on a layer and select Duplicate Current Layer from the context menu, and nothing will happen. Then I will click on the [+] Create New Layer button, and again, nothing will happen.
I then save the file, close and restart Inkscape and the functionality to Create and Duplicate layers now works as expected again.

Is there something I am doing wrong here, and just not realizing it? Or is this a known issue?

I haven't ever heard about that, or experienced it myself. A search of the bug tracker turns up hundreds of results for "layer". If you'd like to sort through those, to find out if you see something similar, you're more than welcome. (I unfortunately can't do it, at the moment.)

Or maybe someone else will know more?
