Reset Window Positions
I used to work on a multi-monitor computer. I had, at some point, put some important tool windows (like the gradient editor) on the second monitor. Now, having lent the second monitor to family, I can't access these windows. Rather than go through all of the fun of getting the monitor back and hooking it up solely to move these windows to the main monitor I was wondering if there was a way to reset the saved window positions, or if I am once again being shafted by a poor quality port of a mediocre windowing toolkit. I'm on Windows.
Re: Reset Window Positions
Try right-click on the taskbar and pick Move, then use the cursor keys to pull the window back (assuming you know the direction it was).
Otherwise, click (or tab) to get focus on the window then Alt-space then "m" and use the cursors to move. If it was maximized into a different screen, use Alt-space then "r" to "restore" to window followed by the alt-space then "m"

Thanks, that did the trick. I should keep that in mind when other programs do something similar.
Also, at least under Vista, if the window is entirely off screen, the alt+space menu appears on the edge closest to the window, so at least you have a general idea as to where the window is.
