Preview window for showing select areas with Filters

Postby InkCat » Fri Aug 27, 2010 7:29 am

Blender has a tool like this...a preview window that you can position over an area you want to see in rendered form without having to render the entire image.

I find that when working with filters, I'd like to have such a tool so that I can see what one area I'm working on looks like, without having to wait for the entire screen to draw.

the idea is that you could adjust the shape of something which has a Blur value assigned, and when you're ready, you could see a full-color, filters-on preview of just that area.

Is it possible to add such a tool to Inkscape?

thank you

Try using the duplicate window option, under View menu. Make the windows smaller and change the mode in one to no filters.
