Change the theme/skin on Linux

Postby gaboratorium » Wed Jan 07, 2015 10:03 pm

Hey guys!
I am desperately looking for a way to change the skin of Inkscape to a dark one (like Illustrator's). I have been searching on the internet for ages, but couldn't find any working solution for Linux (I have found one for Windows on this forum, but since the file structure is quite different from the Linux version, it didn't work out).

I saw so many screenshots of that, I can't believe there is no simple way to do that.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi.

Which linux distribution?
Which desktop manager (KDE, GNOME etc)?

Have a look at these;

http://jesusda.com/files/inkscape-tango-theme/

as Inkscape uses the GTK+ Gimp user interface;
http://www.gtk.org/
http://thegimp.ca/gimp-2-8-dark-theme-stonewashed-2/

Good Luck
