I have an old PC with 98se installed which will run my graphic tablet quite happily. I would like to download a version of Inkscape suitable for 98se. Could anyone tell me where I might find such a thing?

I have tried Googling but no real success.

My graphic tablet won't run on W7 64 bit.

Here you can find and download any of the older versions of Inkscape: http://sourceforge.net/projects/inkscap ... /inkscape/. But I'm not sure if any are contemporary to 98se though. I'm also not sure where to find older versions. Maybe someone else will know? Or maybe you could do some research on Inkscape development (Wikipedia??) and find something about versions pre 0.37 (the oldest on that page).

Inkscape 0.42 ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/inkscap ... pe/0.42.2/ ) was the last to support Windows 95/98/ME. See here: http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php ... ME_support (the version that dropped the support).

Thanks tomh, found the page on sourceforge, it lists eleven files. Whichever one I try to download just ends up as a small download which won't open or run. How do I save a useable copy please.

You need one of the ones with win32 in the name, either the zip or exe. Should be the size listed on that page.

Must be my age but I could have sworn I tried the win32 exe., but tried again and downloaded fine.
