I have my project the way i want it to look however when I open as an attachment in email the outlines around my 1st birthday, weight, stand, teeth. Also the black square behind the heart shows. I thought I just needed to move them to the top but that did not work. please advise.

Just guessing, you are using a browser's preview capabilities to render the svg you have made, which differs from inkscape's.
Browsers can't handle as much from the svg specs as inkscape, for example
masking may not work
pattern fills can have issues
gradients may render with banding
and, last but not least transformed filters may not render at all
-also, flowed texts won't render in any browser.

If you want to share the file, use a hosting site like dropbox.
