how to save to eps without blurring?

Postby miturian » Thu Mar 14, 2013 10:42 pm

Hi, I'm trying to use inkscape to change the fontsize of a legend in an eps-plot. I can open the file and change the font, no problem. However, when I then try to save the figure again, the picture (the plot consists of a picture with a legend next to it) is blurred. Viewing the plot from inside inkscape, everything looks fine, so it is something to do with the writing-process. The eps-file is quite small (33kb), so this is not a memory issue.

I am an absolute novice at inkscape, so I will probably need the answer in some detail :)

Hope the above makes sense.

Hi Mituran,

Try changing the font into Arial, Sans or something like it. I suspect you've used a bitmapped or system font for the original.

Otherwise converting text to path may be a good option. Make sure though that you do that on a copy of the original and not in the original itself as it is a one way change. Once the font is path info, you can't change it back to text.
