Hi,
I started using inkscape some days ago and I'm really pleased. In my work I imported some images that I'm still changing it with gimp.
I'd like to use them as an external link rather then embedding them so that I don't have to cut them and reimport, reset the
dimentions (it's OK if they get embedded automatically when saving).
How can I do? is it possible?
Thanks in advance

[solved] Using external images
Re: Using external images
mmh... not using "import bitmap or svg"... at least my image doesn't get refreshed. Should I do something to refresh or you are referring to some other way to link an image?
Re: Using external images
Importing an SVG embeds it.
Importing a bitmap links it. But Inkscape doesn't expect it to change, and I don't think there's a way to get it to refresh (except for closing the document and then reopening it).

Re: Using external images
Hi!
It's not necessary to close and reopen the document.
Just select the image and open the image properties dialog (right click context menu). Change the URL field und revert to the original setting (ex. delete a character and reenter it). Inkscape refreshs the image. For further updates keep the properties dialog open.
