Hello,
I have two questions. The first is: How are those images called which are zoomed in and at one point in the zoomed part you can see the original image again. It zooms and zooms to the infinite. The best I could come up with are fractal images, but apparently they arent called that. I couldnt find anything.
Second question: I want to create such an animation, but with what software can this be done? The image I want to use for it is a vector image made in inkscape.
Any help appreciated!

They are called fractals, and I know Brynn played with applications that create them, but Inkscape doesn't have a feature like that except the L-system, check it out:
