I have a repeating problem with using the gestures from the style indicator to change the fill and stroke values of an object.
This is what happens: I drag away and move up and down and get the expected changes, but as soon as i press one of the modifier keys the status bar message begins to flicker back and forth between the message relevant to the style indicator and the message relevant to the current tool (e.g selector, bezier pen, bucket). At this point the crash is unavoidable.

Is this an Inkscape problem or a system problem?
This is IS0.47, on Windows XP sp3. 2GB ram. Stability in Inkscape is excellent at all other times. In fact this is the only crash that I have ever been able to reproduce .

Could be the same issue as reported in bug #443964 in Inkscape: “0.47pre3 win32 crash when adjusting color via gestures”.
