[Windows XP]
FYI
This forum was searched for both "emfprinter" and "emf".
This is more of a feature than it is a bug, and it's about Francesco Montorsi's emfprinter (@emfprinter.sourceforge.net)
Excel produces emf files by means of a virtual emfprinter (raster images were not available in the produced emf the files), and could then be imported by Inkscape 0.46 and Xara's current Xtreme Graphic Designer. In both packages the text was editable, and in Inkscape the spreadsheet cells were recognized, but put all in one place and in the same colour (it took the appearance of a yellow fill colour that was used in Excel).
Of course I don't consider this a bug, but more of an other possibility, that is FYI.
Thank you.
Yours,
Bas Schoutsen

Re: [emfprinter / emf] import
[correction]
Both Inkscape and Xara recognized the individual spreadsheet cells. (Xara couldn't ungroup them though, but that may not be important. )
This is a great forum system you have, concerning the openness of it, I hope I did make use of it correctly.

Re: [emfprinter / emf] import
Hello Bas,
So this is a feature request then. Please fill a bug-report at our launchpad site:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape
This way we can keep track of it more easily. Please describe in detail what you'd want Inkscape to do.
