[solved] Extension "PostScript Input" failed to load

Postby Guest » Sun Sep 14, 2008 5:39 pm

I installed Textext extension just like it is described on this page: http://www.elisanet.fi/ptvirtan/softwar ... index.html , but it doesn't show up in menu, and in ~/.inkscape/errors i get:

Code: Select all

Extension "DXF Input" failed to load because a dependency was not met.
Dependency:
  type: executable
  location: path
  string: dxf2svg
description: dxf2svg may come with Inkscape, but is also at http://dxf-svg-convert.sourceforge.net/

Extension "EPS Input" failed to load because a dependency was not met.
Dependency:
  type: extension
  location: path
  string: org.inkscape.input.pdf

Extension "PostScript Input" failed to load because a dependency was not met.
Dependency:
  type: extension
  location: path
  string: org.inkscape.input.pdf

I suspect that the last error couses my problem. What ubuntu/debian package should install to fix it? I installed ghostscript, libpostscript-perl, libpostscript-file-perl, libpostscript-simple-perl, ghostscript, ghostscriptx, gsfonts, gsfonts-x11 and almost anything which has something to do witth postscript, but still I'm getting this error.

What version of Inkscape are you using?

Uhm... I have forgotten that I was using svn version... This error doesn't occur in stable 0.46 release. Should I report this as a bug?

Looks like your build was compiled without the poppler pdf support turned on, hence you dont have the inkscape pdf input that those 2 are trying to use.
That'd be my guess anyways
