Saving EMF format (with gradients)

Postby Inky Hands » Sat Feb 06, 2010 7:17 pm

Greetings Inkers,

I'm exporting some of my SVG's to Windows EMF format.
In the SVG I have some simple gradients included. (Modelling reflective light on buttons)

The EMF loses the gradient on export.
Major bummer. Means i have to redo the gradients again in whatever Windows package I am using. (VISIO in this case).

So i'm wondering if there something i am missing here?
(Maybe an Inkscape setting?) :?:
I tried Open Office DRAW and failed there also on the EMF import.

Thanks for any help and replies.

Well, I was hoping someone else might answer this, because I really don't know the answer. And you've probably already read this topic, but it's the only thing I can suggest: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=820

But maybe since my reply will "bump up" your topic, someone else who knows the answer might see it :?

Hi. I have noticed that saving as SVG in inkscape, then opening the SVG in LibreOffice Draw, then exporting from LibreOffice Draw to EMF seems to work and preserve gradients.
