Hello again all you smart people out there. I am building a star map in which I need to draw constellation outlines (straight lines) between stars (circle objects). Now, when I use the "Draw Bezier curves and straight lines tool, " the default style is a thin black line. This is rather inconvenient for me --- I am drawing on a black background! So is there a way to change the default stroke style to my preferred color, width, and dash style? OR, failing that, how else would I go about doing this task expediently? Is there, for instance, a quick way to copy the stroke parameters of one object to another? Or apply a style preset in a convenient way?
I thank you in advance for all your sage advice.
Stroke Styles -- Default? Copy? Apply?

Change the default style of the pen (bézier) tool:AstroStudio wrote:is there a way to change the default stroke style to my preferred color, width, and dash style?
- draw a line,
- set stroke color and style as needed for the new default,
- open 'Inkscape Preferences > Tools > Pen' and
- click on 'This tool's own style: Take from selection'
Paste the style from clipboard:AstroStudio wrote:a quick way to copy the stroke parameters of one object to another?
- copy object with preferred style,
- select different object(s) that need to use the same style,
- use 'Edit > Paste Style' (or 'Shift+Ctrl+V')

How to make the style remember the marker type?
I need to do some pull out text label with arrows.
Thank you!

This seems to be a bug. I should be able to have the default remember the arrow type (marker?) on the beziers that I create. But if it is not a bug, could someone please respond to the above question?
EDIT: Well it seems to be a little buggy, and I cannot identify just how I got it working. But here is my settings:
EDIT: I'm using Inkscape 0.91 r13725 as reported by About Inkscape. This is running on a Ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64-bit.

Well, I don't know why that question was never answered. Perhaps because it's too vague, and the author never came back anyway.
What is "pull out text label with arrows"?
