Hi all, I think I have run into a bug but I'm sort of new and hesitant to submit a bug report without first checking whether others have experienced the same.

My problem is that when I insert text into an image I'm working on in Inkscape and then apply filter/drop shadow to it I cannot successfully save the image as a Compressed Inkscape (svgz) file. When I do the text does not appear in the image when I render it in any of the major browsers. The same image saved as an Inkscape SVG or a Compressed Plain SVG file appears to work fine, i.e., the text appears as expected with drop-shadow.

My question is am I doing something wrong or is this a bug. Its easy enough to reproduce, which I have done several times with the same result. I am using version 0.48 on Windows 7.
