I'm using Inkscape 0.91pre2 on windows.
It seems Inkscape prefers showing font names in english although it has ability to show names in native language, according to https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1015508
I am one of people suffer from lack of this feature.

Whenever I choose font from hundreds of fonts, I saw mixture of english only font and asian font, sorted by alphabetic name order.
I just need asian font, but I can't filter asian font easily. It ends up enumerating all fonts.
Attachments show difference between asian font and latin font. Inkscape shows only english name even if I select native language on preference.

How about add an option "Show font names in English", like Photoshop?

The best thing you can do (unless you have coding skills, and want to try and fix it yourself) is to click "This affects me too" text link, near the top of the bug report. If you have any unreported info, such as it's occuring in a different system than what's reported, or want to suggest something that hasn't already been mentioned, you could add that in a Comment.

Or if this issue did not occur in the last version (still the current stable, although not for much longer) 0.45.5, you could downgrade. Although I realize that may not be an acceptable solution for you.

Maybe I am only person that clicked "bugs affects me" button. It had already done before I posted this thread.
It's not bug strictly, it's just inkscape's unchangable (at least to me) setting, there's no way to me that I show font names in native with Inkscape.

Sadly to me, Bug #1015508 elapsed 2 years with New, undecided, unassigned status.
