"Export Bitmap" not anti-aliasing??

Postby rsf » Sat Jan 26, 2013 10:53 am

Hello.
The File->Export bitmap... gives me a "not" anti-aliased image. Is this the correct behavior?
I can only get an anti-aliased image using "save a copy" as Cairo PNG.
Also although my document has transparent background both images have it white.
What is the correct way to export a transparent anti-aliased image?
Thanks

Are you sure? Could it just be low resolution? There is a difference, although the effect is jagged looking in both cases.
For example:

bitmap.png
bitmap.png (9.3 KiB) Viewed 3806 times

The save as Cairo PNG method has been deprecated for a long time. To export with transparency, set your background to transparent in document properties and use the export bitmap route from the file menu.

Your mind is what you think it is.

...my bad.
The image has transparency but xnview wasn't showing it.
It showed the pixels in its pure color and completely opaque and with a white background that seemed like an image without AA
It's all working fine. Sorry for the inconvenience :-|
