I am new in this forum and this is my first post, so comments to my work are welcome. This is a design i made with Inkscape today (except the desktop capture, of course).

Nice outcome how did you that effect for the bottom of the monitor? I am always interested in the gradients people use for their projects what did you use for the bottom of the monitor?

The bottom front is a rounded rectangle with simply gradient (black-white)
The rest (monitor and bottom) is the object and a duplicate. To create that effect I apply the gradient (transparent-white) to duplicated object and decrease the transparency value.

Trying to simulate materials is one of biggest weaknesses. But once again nice job.
