Hellow guys,
I was trying to create an attractive bomb using Inkscape.
I had no problems until I got to the rope part, i made a rough sketch of what i want it to look like and what I'm trying to create, I was wondering if any of you have any idea's of how to make the rope, it would be nice to learn , thank-you!

The bomb is very nicely done! see the three urls above for ideas on how to do your fuse ranging from very elaborate to very simple... good luck

Do you know if the file (svg. file of that tutorial) is in the Inkscape folder?
I'm not sure if I'm doing it right..

My guess is that its the shape you're after, not the pattern.........?
One curving thick line, convert it to fill......change the thickness of the stroke to thiner on that fill .......

I know, but the tools for that technique are all available in inkscape although under different names. I just included it as a technique that can be done in Inkscape, not as a step by step.....

Re: *Help needed* Climbing Rope
Hi
it was lately, I didn't know this thread.
I tryed for "Climbing Rope" with zigzag extension.
the next images are process results.
'zigzag' extension is able to get from a site http://www.inkscapeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=3798&start=0 posted to "Inkscape & the Web" .
a similar sample with zigzag extension in 'metal mesh' thread.
