A page used to print just fine. Now, some of the shapes print, others do not. They all look the same on the screen. Any suggestions about what's going on and how to fix this?

I just tried your suggestion - thanks. However, same thing happens. Only the shapes that print show up in the pdf.

Then you may have used something that is "too complicated".
Clipped clones as patterns?
Masked objects with a fading effect?

Ok - here's more explanation of what's going on. This happened w/ 2 files (docs?). They are pics made up of basic, irregular shapes, nothing overlapping. They area single layer with a single stroke outlining the color fill. Nothing masked, clipped, faded or anything else more involved. I drew the shapes and modified them. They used to print out just fine. Same file won't print correctly now. Some shapes on a page may print, but not others. The first file it happened with started printing correctly again after awhile. I don't have a clue why. Now it is happening with a second file.

The 2nd file has a shape I copied to a new, blank page to work on it. I then copied it back into the working page, copied it again, reversed and modified it for another place on the page.

When I tried to print the whole 2nd picture from within inkscape, the 1st copy of the shape printed, but not the 2nd reversed copy or any other shapes. The 1st shape was the only image that printed or showed up in the pdf.

When you click on the POST REPLY button, the full message editor appears.
At the bottom of it, next to the options, there is the upload attachment tab.

If it doesn't work -your image is larger-, you can use dropbox's file sharing service.

Too big for here. I am uploading to dropbox for first time. It is asking for members to share it with. What do I put in?

Just click on the share file, then copy url, and paste it here between url tags, like:

Note that you have to change the www part in the url manually to dl, so that it all works fine.

I'll try this soon when I have a little time to figure things out.

This stopped happening with the file after making further revisions. Maybe this is a bug?

Rather hard to tell, without seeing the file. You could simply post the Dropbox link without modification or tags and it should direct us to the file.
