Ello, I have just scanned a calligraphy piece into my pc and converted said image into a vector. When i zoom in, you can see rough un-evenness to the path all over, i know how to import the vector into gimp to edit it with eraser tools and paint brush tools to smooth and delete part of the lines, but i want to be able to do that in inkscape because once it is editied in gimp, i need to keep it as a vector to import into scribus for a document.
thanks
matt

How was the image converted to vector?
Can you upload the file or a snippet example?

Have a nice day.
I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1
The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/
