When I try to open up the "document properties" dialogue box, the window for it apparently opens up off-screen. The last time I was working in inkscape I had a different monitor configuration, so I guess it used to appear on a monitor I no longer have.

The main window grays out like I am focused on a sub-window, but because the window doesn't appear in the taskbar, I can't force it to move.
And this is a pretty important dialogue box, so I can't get any work done here until I can get access to this window.

Please help.

Oh, I can press alt-space for the dialogue window to select "Move." So I can do that for windows that don't appear in the taskbar.

That was not expressly stated in that thread, but I did find it when he mentioned it for the main window.
