Mark Hempel Style Test

Postby SeeingPet » Mon Feb 09, 2009 2:10 am

This is a try of me to creat a picture who looks a little bit like the drawings Marc Hempel created for Sandman. I'm really happy with result I made. But there is work to do. For example the clothes. I the look too plain and the. Or the Shadow on the cloths. On the face it looks good but on the robe there is too much repetition.

And the torch is not finished.

i like the shadow effect.
if that torch is going to burn, the rest of the picture should be dimmed down somewhat (less saturation, less brightness), as the orange of the flame would be the most luminescent in the whole picture by far.

Thanks for the advice. Here is an update. I don't try to make it realistic, but it should look "professional" ;)
I made 2 versions. The charakter with lower brightness and the other one without.
