Hello,
I am using Inkscape 0.91 on Mac OS X.
I want to export a drawing with annotations to an latex document. When i save as .pdf and check "pdf+latex: omit text in pdf...", I receive the Message: "Inkscape encountered an internal error and will close now." The created .pdf_tex file is empty except for the header: "Creator: Inkscape ......"
Using the .eps-format instead results in the same problem.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks,
leonson
Save as pdf+latex causes crash
Re: Save as pdf+latex causes crash
leonson, could it be that this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1464987 corresponds to your problem?
(Check for the flowPara thing in your file, see comment #2)

Re: Save as pdf+latex causes crash
Thanks, your answer revealed some hints:
Tried the same on Windows 7. Same problem. Seems to occur with newer versions (0.91), older ones seem to work (according to the above linked thread).
I than manually deleted all items which contained "flow" in their name via the XML-panel - on the surface, the graphic looked the same as before. The export is now working flawless - but including the .pdf_tex file in Latex causes an error: ".... pdf site not found...".

Re: Save as pdf+latex causes crash
I never used the extension and don't use LaTeX...
Maybe this has got to do with how it's supposed to be used?
Does the exported pdf look correct if you open it with some other program?
There are a few guides online, for example this one: ftp://ftp.fu-berlin.de/tex/CTAN/info/sv ... FLaTeX.pdf
