Using Inkscape - Creating A Starry Space Scene
Can I ask assistance (step by step) for creating a starry space scene? I used the "create rectangles & square tool & pulled an area large enough to become my canvas. Next, I used black as a fill-in. I added some larger planets which look great but I would love to learn how to create a starry host space scene. Thanks for your help.

Do you have an exemple of what kind of image of you're trying to achieve ?

If you want complex gas clouds then you'd probably have to use filters. I started a thread where I show my experimentations with filters but there's no tutorial. Hope you'll get an idea of what you could expect from filters.

The Inkscape file is available to download from my website - the image is a link to the relevant comic's page. There are several variations on "starry space scene" in different comics within that thread (it's a comic about aliens, so space scenes feature quite heavily), and the source files for all of them are available.
The license may not work for you, but you should be able to take them apart and use the same ideas as the basis for your own image. If you want to use them directly and the CC license is an issue, drop me a line to discuss it - I'm pretty flexible on that front.
