Path filling problem?

Postby Pheneveren » Thu Jul 21, 2016 2:35 am

Okay, so I have a pencil drawing that I have scanned and traced with the pen tool. I tried to use the "fill path" thing (in the "fill and stroke" menu, not the fill tool) and the fill is kind of...noncontiguous, like broken into chunks all across the object. I assume this is because I have non-closed paths, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get around this, considering that you cannot have three lines extending from a node, and the drawing (like a very large amount of drawings in the world) contains overlapping objects. Maybe I am just completely misunderstanding how to use Inkscape? How am I supposed to draw (or trace) something using a single continuous line? That seems to be the only solution... Using the fill tool instead seems to create its own object that then causes weird white spaces and seems to double the thickness of all the lines in the filled areas.

EDIT2: Figured it out on my own. Nevermind!
