Hourglass

Postby abrogaticus » Fri Jan 11, 2008 10:04 am

My first Inkscape creation. It's supposed to resemble an hourglass of sorts. Comments welcome.

thanks to Prkos and Brynn for their responses to my thread in the help forum.

wow it looks very fancy and ethereal

I would only add one ore thing, some shine :) Use white radial gradient, maybe choose the center glow as the light source

Great suggestion! I'm just not having much success implementing it. I've tried a couple of times and haven't liked the result yet. Inkscape Noob + General Art Noob = slow. I'll keep playing with it and if I ever get a result I'm happy with, I'll post it. :P

Thanks! I owe much (if not all) of its 'not badness' to your (and Richard's) tuts.
