Hi i have just started using Inkscape on my home computer, and would be glad if someone could tell me if there is a way to change the cursor distance (Freehand) or keyboard increment (Illustrator) to millimeters, so i can accuaratly move objects on the page to where i want them using the arrow keys.
This would be a great help Thank you
Dan
Changing 'Keyboard Increment' or 'Cursor Distance' in mms
Re: Changing 'Keyboard Increment' or 'Cursor Distance' in mms
There is an option called Steps in Inkscape Preferences (it's near the bottom of the preferences dialog), but it's in pixels.
You'll have to calculate how much that is in mm, 1px in Inkscape is 1/90 of an inch. Inkscape says 1px is 0.282mm.
