InkScape "Nighly" Builds & 0.91 release

Postby tjsuominen » Thu Oct 30, 2014 3:10 am

Hi,

First I just wanna say how great InkScape is - Awesome - and getting better bit-by-bit!

Three simple questions, which I hope I could get answers:

- Currently I'm runnig 0.91pre2 r13516 -> Where I can latest nighly?
- For the latest daily/nighlies, is there "What's new / Changed" file somewhere?
- The tough part, any guestimate on 0.91 release schedule?

Thx!

As far as I know there are no nightly builds for Inkscape, and there is no plans for them.
You can obtain development versions, but They aren't built "every night". Sometimes there is a build for month, or two, or zero. I'm talking mostly about MS-Windows versions

There isn't. But consult here:
https://inkscape.org/en/download/

 Hahahahaha ... not even the developers have idea...

Sorry, I'm just trolling... I believe it will be soon because the Splash Screen Contest already has a winer.

--- I can't find the link to the winer ---
Also, see here:
https://inkscape.org/en/develop/next-release/

I'm not a developer, just an inkscape user like most of users in this forum. Sometimes a developer appears here, but they use more the mailing lists, I guess

If you have problems:
1.- Post a sample (or samples) of your file please.
2.- Please check here:

3.- If you manage to solve your problem, please post here your solution.

Have a nice day.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

A few months, maybe due this year as the rumors go at the live community chat.

On the mailing list, they said optimistically 0.91 stable around Thanksgiving, if everything goes smoothly.

That's just a month away! :D :D

Dear all,

Could someone update a post with nightly builds locations, if any, for the 0.91 release updates ?

In addition to that info, I recently heard that there are regular builds for Linux and Mac OS X, although I'm not sure if they are made available for any except developers. Any info should be found https://inkscape.org/en/download/
