i Just spent 4 hours doing a logo in xara to have the file corrupt on me.....
Good excuse to give inkscape a whirl....
anyway im trying to recreate this logo in inkscape and i can not operate the offset functionality....

For the cntl ] go into cntl shift P > Steps and see what your inset/outset step is set to. If it very small the offset may have worked you just can't see the results.


For an ellipse you or probably better off doing and outset rather than in inset.
