Here I share a tutorial perspective. Previously, I found the problem in Inkscape 0.48.2 version of Windows (If the version of linux, I do not know). In fact, from youtube tutorial which can not be practiced in this version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMbIPleMiZ0.
And finally, I found the answer. Here are the steps
1. Create a box with the Bezier Tool perspective
2. Make your text
3. Selection of both attractions and choose Path - Object to Path
4. Selection attractions just text and select Object - Ungroup then select Path - Union
5. Text selection while holding Shift click the object and select the Extensions box perspective - Modify Path - Perspective
I also include the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIDJNU0vQmI
And also I have posted on my blog Perspective text effect in Inkscape
Perhaps such measures different from other versions. If there is a mistake I apologize. Your comments and criticism is needed.
I'm sorry if my english is not smooth...

Yes, that tutorial was written for an older version. But the only thing that's different is the order of selection. In this old tutorial, he selects the perspective path first, and object 2nd. But in the current version, you must select the object first, and perspective path 2nd. I don't know why in the world the devs would change something like that! But they must have had some reason. Anyway, everything else is the same!
Inkscape is very much a work in progress! So before you start using a tutorial (whether text or video) make sure it was written for either the current, or at least a recent verstion. And if you can't make it work, for some reason, be sure to consult the manual. The manual is kept current for every new version of Inkscape!
Your video tutorial is nice, even though there's no sound. But the actions are clear enough for anyone to understand. On the other hand, it looks like the blog is in a non-English language (I'm not sure which), and I don't see any translation links. So perhaps not for everyone. But we have the English message....except for one word -- "kemuadian"?

I keep getting the following error code when trying to do the perspective text. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
