Hello,
I'm totally new to both SVG and Inkscape. I try to fill my SVG files with one single color, but my files are generated by another software and contain many open paths.
What is the fastest way to fill an SVG containing open paths? Is it possible to fill my SVGs without closing paths?
The example file is attached below:

Re: The fastest way to fill an SVG containing open paths
Based on your example file, although there are lots of open paths, they do form closed areas. Therefore the Fill tool
will probably achieve what you want. You may need to play with the threshold and Grow/shrink settings to get the best results. If you have other images with open areas, you would need to draw temporary objects to close them off before using this tool.
I also covered this sort of task in part 21 of my tutorial series (though you might also want to look at parts 17 & 18 which detail a more manual process): viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11981
