The fastest way to fill an SVG containing open paths

Hello,

I'm totally new to both SVG and Inkscape. I try to fill my SVG files with one single color, but my files are generated by another software and contain many open paths.

What is the fastest way to fill an SVG containing open paths? Is it possible to fill my SVGs without closing paths?

Based on your example file, although there are lots of open paths, they do form closed areas. Therefore the Fill tool :tool_paintbucket: will probably achieve what you want. You may need to play with the threshold and Grow/shrink settings to get the best results. If you have other images with open areas, you would need to draw temporary objects to close them off before using this tool.

You can also join the paths, using an extension:
