I have been trying all day to find a way to preserve transparencies when saving as .eps in Inkscape. I do not like being told just to "avoid using transparencies." There has to be some way without buying AI or going in and manually breaking apart each part that the transparency overlaps and adding a one color gradient changeover to it.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Pulling my hair out - SVG to EPS transparencies.
Have you tried the development version of Inkscape? Exporting to pdf and eps has been greatly improved since 0.46. The features that those formats don't support simply get rasterized, you can control the image dpi from the Preferences.
You can have both versions installed at the same time so it might be useful to check it out

Thanks for the suggestion. I did not think about that. I will try it tonight and post here whether or not it worked.

IT WORKED! IT REALLY WORKED! hahahah yes! Word Domination is now MINE!! whahahahahahahaha!
Thanks a million prkos!
By the way, I like this version a lot more already, especially when working with files, it uses the normal way that windows saves a file and not the Inkscape customized version of working with files.
