This is a read-only archive of the inkscapeforum.com site. You can search for info here or post new questions and comments at I want to export images with 300 dpi. And until yesterday this was happening without any problem.
However, now every time I change the DPI to 300 the width and height on the Export PNG Image tab goes to 1 and then I cannot change it.
I've uninstalled and re-installed the program but this still continues.
Any suggestion?

These are the things I would try:
Suggestion 1: Make sure you're using the correct tab in that dialog for your export. Are you using Selection, Page or Custom?
Suggestion 2: rename your preferences.xml, so Inkscape will create a new one (this will loose all custom settings you made. The file is not deleted upon uninstall).
Suggestion 3: Edit the SVG and remove the export hints for the selected object.

Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!
