Isometrics
Isometrics
Hi all... I'm in the employ of a company that specialises in isometric infographics, and though we rely heavily on Illustrator, it's isometric support features are quite inadequate. Would thorough isometric-enabling features count as a good idea?
Re: Isometrics
Sounds interesting, what features exactly are you talking about? Maybe it's already possible to do them or it might be a simple extension to write.
Have you tried axonometric grid, angled guides, 3D boxes can be made isometric:
Isometric Projection: Boxes can be drawn with an Isometric Projection by toggling on all “Parallel Line” buttons in the Tool Controls and setting the x, y, and z angles to be: 150°, 90°, and 30° respectively.

Re: Isometrics
I haven't seen anything in there that can't be done in Inkscape, there are probably even easier ways than shown in tutorial. If this is what is needed I can make the Inkscape version unless someone beats me to it.

Re: Isometrics
Thanks for the replies, but it's now a moot point. Inkscape (and it's supporting stuff, X11) refuses to work on our Macs. We'll just have to stick to Illustrator, I suppose. At least it starts up.
Re: Isometrics
Give your details in a new thread, maybe someone can help you make it work (OS version, Inkscape version etc.)
