Are you aware of how many people are contributing to Wikipedia? Or even, all those guys improving google search options?

This is what Wikipedia says about vector graphics: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_graphics

Arguably, the most beautiful thing about vector graphics, is that they can be scaled at will, without pixelizing or any distortion at all!

But there are other pros and cons. It depends on what your goals are, for your particular image, whether you want to use raster or vector. (if that's why you're asking)

And that's the point where I feel serious limitations. You can't be sure you'll get exactly as you'd expect after scaling or even after a tiny bit of transformation. At least in inkscape, decimals are all messed up in the xml, no matter if you type in even values, there is no control on that.
Too bad if you want even something as easy as a webpage, you'll have to deal with useless floats.
In that sense a raster image is more predictable, each pixel is stretched equally.

Also if you decrease the precision in the preferences, God have mercy on your drawing if you scale objects.

Disclaimer: These are tiny differences which Lazur references. For most people, they are not even noticed. (This is something like 0.00001 to 0.0001 unit differences.) Only developers, or someone who needs absolute precision needs to worry. In my opinion.
