Hello,
One thing that would help would be the existence of something equivalent to Illustrators 3D Extrude and Bevel function. There is also another function that will take a path (for example, if you draw the left side of a drinking glass), and allow you to drag it around as a circle, creating a 3D container. Both of these would be extremely useful. Those are just a couple I can think of off hand. Adobe is really moving forward in the 3D space in it's existing programs without actually developing a dedicated 3D platform.
I was thinking I could use Blender, but I find the tool complicated, and it doesn't appear an independently developed svg exporter works well enough to use.
Just some thoughts, perhaps mentioned before, perhaps not (I am new here!).
Thanks!
More 3D Tools
Re: More 3D Tools
I'm sorry, but I disagree.
Inkscape is a 2D drawing tool and in my opinion it should stay that way.
As you already have mentioned, use a proper 3D tool instead to make 3D glasses.
