[solved]How would I automate autotracing a series of images?
Re: How would I automate autotracing a series of images?
How are the frames formatted? Individual files? Or one file with all frames presented like a film strip? Or an actually video? What format is the file/s?
Re: How would I automate autotracing a series of images?
I can get the frames into any format necessary - tiff or tga seuence or quicktime / avi - even a jpg seq or exr, im just after the knowledge of how to batch a series of images with a saved autotrace setting... ive done a similar thing with adobe bridge (illustrator batch) but the output from inkscape is of a different quality and id like to exploit it if possible - im looking to upscale some production methods from one person to many so the open source route seems good if it works - ive been using blender professionally for some years now and its great...

Inkscape has some command line options, but I don't think any of them are for the trace option. Although, I think Inkscape uses Potrace which you might be able to download and do the job for you.
Re: How would I automate autotracing a series of images?
thanks micro, there's an old applescript for potrace that with a bit of macadvice i might be able to use to automate it,
