I have looked and looked and cannot find help with this so i am asking. I recently purchased a program called Art Explosion. It contains tons of images and fonts, they are already vector images. What I want to do is convert the images to SVG so that I may use them with the Sure Cuts Alot program and cut the images out using my Cricut personal cutter. Whenever I open an image in Inkscape it appears normally. I know that I am supposed to trace the image and then save it as an SVG but whenever I select the image, first of all sometimes it only lets me select parts of the image, but when I do get the entire image and I select trace bitmap nothing appears in the box even after I select update. Since I never make it past this point I can never make it to SCAL to cut out an image. I hope this is clear, I don't know computer terminology I just want to be able to use this with my Cricut. I am at my wits end. Please HELP. Oh I forgot to mention when I open the images from the disk they appear as an wmf file, I have no idea what that meas.
Thanks in advance,
Nia

Re: Using Art Explosion
wmf is Windows Meta File, that is the vector format of Windows system. Did you try to save an opened wmf file in Inkscape as SVG? Or you can try some tools for batch conversion, like converting a folder of wmf files to SVG. I found a link to a open source converter for Windows: http://www.svgfactory.com/index.html
