Now my boss want to go beyond standard numbers and make our company decal, which a company has been making for us for quite some time, and having a hard time trying to achive the way he has done the shading, i am trying to upload a picture of it but it says its to large. How do i upload it..?
Many thanks

There´s a thread about it: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=7

Re: type of shading
It is not that complicated....
Make the text (use the desired font, put everything in desired place, check the spelling ,) and then set the fill color to the red.
Duplicate the "Stanw..." and change the fill color to white. While still selected, use the arrow keys to shift it to the desired position.
Duplicate the "Stanw..." and change the fill color to blue. While still selected, use the arrow keys to shift it to the desired position.
Now, go back to the red and white "Stanw...".
Convert them to Paths and then apply Union (from Path) / one by one. Now, select the red "Stanw...", hold Shift to select the white again and then apply Difference (from Path).
Voila! ,)

Re: type of shading
You`re welcome.
Re: type of shading
@ Maestral.
Pretty sure this won´t work because the "white" part is bigger due the bold contour and to apply "Path->difference" it needs a bunch more steps: contour to path/dissect/delete inner parts/combine - No?
Cheers

I had to add - Yes, you`re completely right. I didn`t payed enough attention to details.
