Hi, is there a way to show the shortcuts on button mouse over?

I`m just learning inkscape, and all the programs I know they display the shortcut key when the mouse is over the button, and that`s how I used to learn shortcuts, Inkskape does not display the shortcuts over the icons, but only in the menus.

I've never seen or heard of such, in Inkscape. But I think it's a great idea! You're more than welcome to submit a new feature request at Launchpad, Inkscape's bug tracker: https://launchpad.net/inkscape

But meanwhile, someone made a great reference for keyboard shortcuts. I don't use them much, so it will take me a moment or 2 to search it out. You do already know about this one though:

Wow, I really like that idea though, of having the keyboard shortcut on a mouseover tool tip! I don't know much about coding, but it seems like it would be a fairly quick and easy project.

Upgrade to the current stable release (0.48.1) - where applicable, shortcuts are shown in the tooltips (mainly for all tools in the toolbox).

This feature was already present in earlier versions (last seen in Inkscape 0.46), but got lost due to changes in 0.47, and has now been added back in the latest bug-fix release 0.48.1 (yet another reason to upgrade )
