I'm not sure why this is a problem, because I have done it successfully before. I just finished a rather complex project, in that it has many individual motifs, overlapping each other. I creating this drawing the actual size I intended to print, but it may be too big, because it will not download into Facebook, though I have saved in several formats. I then tried to scale it back to a more manageable size, but the strokes don't change size, so they obliterate the detail of the drawing.
Do you think the size, 12 x 12", is the cause of the problem?
Is there a quick way to downsize without having an issue with the stroke size?
Thanks for any help you can give.
Problem with opening a drawing in Facebook
Re: Problem with opening a drawing in Facebook
Perhaps you have Stroke scaling disabled?
* stroke scaling is the first on the left
These 12'' should not be the problem, while it still depends on how high you`ve set the dpi`s. Inkscape`s default is 90dpi so it could be 12'' x 90dpi = 1080px or 12'' x 300dpi = 3600px. FB might not be happy with the 3600px pics (for cover art or similar) and you should try with the lower dpi`s.

Thanks, Maestral. I wasn't even aware of stroke scaling. I'm sure that must be the problem.
Re: Problem with opening a drawing in Facebook
After learning about the Stroke Scaling, I was able to resize the drawing successfully. As for getting it onto Facebook, it just will not go. Facebook teels me "There was an error downloading the picture.
I have tried exporting it. I have tried saving as a pdf. I have tried saving as an svg. I tried changing the dpi to 90.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
