Re: HELP!! How do i cut out(render) part of an image?
Is this really what you want to work with?
You have your red shape a rectangle,
the green shape pencil drawn, same with the yellow one wich is grouped.
Also you have three other objects:
a totally transparent rectangle,
two copies of the green object's outlines, one of which is totally transparent and totally blurred.
Based on your description, you only want to work with the first three objects, so
the others are better left out.
Then, the freehand drawn shapes with the pencil tool have too much nodes, it's better to simplify them by pressing Ctrl+L.
After these, you will have to set a clipping for the objects if I get it right.
So it comes down, how would you define the yellow object?
Should the strokes inner edge be used for it's outline,
should the shape defined by its own outlines,
or by the outer edge of the stroke?
In the attachment all three are presented.
The three basic objects were grouped together,
the yellow part was duplicated -pressed Ctrl+D on the group, ungrouped the duplicant and deleted the green and red parts-.
Once this yellow path was used as a clipping mask,
the other times the stroke was converted to outline, and uncombined, and used the right parts as a clipping mask.
