[solved] Hey!

Postby emma » Sat Sep 06, 2008 7:55 pm

I am still downloading inkscape and by the look of it, it looks very complicated... could any one help me with the installation. How to install it? I don't know what to press when you get here:
http://www.inkscape.org/download/?lang=en

Thanks :D

What OS are you on?

If you click on the top right link with the green arrow Download now you should get the right version for the OS you're using.

I'll assume you're on windows, so you can also look under Official Release Packages title, windows has 2 options: exe installer and 7zip.
.exe installer works like any other exe on windows, after it's downloaded just click on it and the installation will begin.
If you download 7zip just unzip the contents of that file (using the free 7zip application) into a directory of your choice (makes sense to unzip it to Program Files), in this case the installation is not necessary, you can start Inkscape using the inkscape.exe from the unzipped folder.
just hand over the chocolate and nobody gets hurt

If you are a Windows User, click this.

"OK" everything it asks, and you are ready to go.

Look in the Forum under "Inkscape Resources" for every Beginner Question related to actually using Inkscape.
